How your information is collected, used and looked after
This website is run by Veronica McLachlan Photographer, based in Stirling North, South Australia. This policy explains what personal information is collected through the site, why, and how it is looked after. It is written with the Australian Privacy Principles in mind.
When you send a message through the contact form, the site collects your name, your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. Nothing else is asked for.
Like most websites, the server also keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. These are not used to identify you.
Your details are used only to reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to arrange and deliver your photography. Your information is not sold, rented or added to a mailing list, and it is not shared with anyone else except where needed to run the site (see below) or where required by law.
The site uses only the cookies it needs to work. It does not use advertising cookies. If analytics are added in future, this policy will be updated.
Many of the photographs on this site were taken at public, community and sporting events. If you appear in a photograph and would like it removed, please get in touch through the contact page and it will be taken down.
Reasonable steps are taken to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Enquiries are kept only as long as they are needed.
You can ask to see the personal information held about you, or ask for it to be corrected or deleted, at any time through the contact page.
If you have a question or concern about privacy, please make contact through the contact page. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
